![]() The band may need some of the profit from the album to pay for the entire project of making a record. ![]() This affects society as it helps with the growth of the economy for music marketers as well as the artists. ![]() The record company will also make a profit from sales of the bands albums, singles and the music videos. The Stereophonics themselves will be looking to make a profit from record sales, merchandise etc. The release and distribution of this album will affect society in a number of ways. The single ‘Innocent’ and the music video seem to be about the days of pre-war Britain “You think anything is possible, and nothing’s gonna get you baby”. The album’s title ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ comes from the motivational poster from 1939 issued by the British government on the eve of World War II. Also, the ability for listeners to pre-order the album online is a big marketing tool. With this album being mainly marketed to a younger generation the internet and online promotion plays a large part. There are many websites promoting this album, the main ones being the bands official website, MySpace and Facebook as well as ‘One Nation Magazine’ and ‘Indie Music Finds’. ![]() The promotion for their new album online has been a big campaign. So far, press releases on reviews of this future release have been very similar with newspapers like The Sun and The Observer giving the album 3- 4 stars. The band played mostly covers when they began (the majority being Manic Street Preachers songs) and didn't release their debut album until 'Word gets Around' in 1997. By now it must be said that the Stereophonics have become veterans of UK music scene, with six studio albums and one live album under their belt they first formed in the mid-90s under the name 'Tragic Love Company'.
